Aldermore has appointed Ross McFarlane as development director for its invoice finance business.
McFarlane (pictured) previously spent 23 years with the Royal Bank of Scotland where he held a number of senior management positions and was a main board director for 15 years.
Prior to leaving RBS, he was director of UK sales and client relations.
He will be based in Aldermore’s Twickenham office and reports to Damon Walford, managing director.
McFarlane has responsibility for the development and implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives for the invoice finance business across the UK.
“Aldermore is championing the cause of small and medium sized businesses across the UK and I’m delighted to have joined this dynamic new British bank,” said McFarlane. “I’m looking forward to working with the bank’s experts based throughout the UK, to help them deliver a high quality and dependable service to business owners.”
Walford added: “I would like to welcome Ross to the team and wish him every success for the future. Ross has a wealth of experience he can bring to bear and I have no doubt he will be able to make a significant contribution to the further development of our invoice finance business.”
