Accord widens conveyancing options for buy-to-let

Accord Buy to Let is expanding its solicitor panel.

Solicitors on the current Accord Mortgages residential panel will now be accepted for buy-to-let conveyancing if they possess Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) accreditation from the Law Society of England and Wales.

Solicitors holding the accreditation will act on a joint basis for the customer and Accord Buy to Let.

Chris Maggs, Accord Buy to Let National Account Manager, said: “The expansion of the Accord Buy to Let solicitor panel provides much greater choice for both brokers and customers and we expect the change will be warmly welcomed by intermediaries.

“When we entered the buy to let market, we wanted to operate a limited panel while we established our proposition.

“With the introduction of the Law Society’s CQS scheme we now feel in a position to expand our solicitor panel to include all firms on the Accord Mortgages conveyancing panel who hold this accreditation.”
