Ageas is to continue to be a Principal Sponsor of BIBA’s national conference and exhibition for the next three years.

The deal, which starts at BIBA 2014 in Manchester and runs through until 2016, coincides with the event being held in the city for three years.

Principal Sponsorship will give Ageas the highest possible association with the event, which, for 2014, will have the theme ‘Customer, Customer, Customer’.

BIBA Chief Executive, Steve White, commented: “We are hugely grateful to Ageas for this level of commitment. Our Principal Sponsors are some of the leading names in the insurance industry and their support is instrumental in allowing us to continue to develop the conference into what is now considered to be Europe’s leading insurance event.

“Sponsorship income allows us to invest in our wider services and support for brokers and also enables the event to be accessible for as many intermediaries as possible. So companies like Ageas really are putting something of value back into the broking channel with such fantastic support.”

Andy Watson, CEO of Ageas, said: “We value our brokers and remain committed to them which is why we are delighted to be supporting BIBA for another three years.

“The 2014 ‘Customer, Customer, Customer’- themed conference comes at an important time for the industry when we are experiencing unprecedented levels of scrutiny with an emphasis firmly on the customer and what products, processes and pricing are offered to create a fair deal. As an industry we need to be sure that we are doing the right thing for the customer and this event gives us the opportunity to explore this in more detail.

“Ageas has long held a presence at the BIBA conference over the years, which has provided us with fantastic opportunities to meet face to face with brokers.

“Given the significance of the broker channel to Ageas, we are proud to be able to support BIBA with this three year deal and very much look forward to welcoming brokers at the event.”
