Aldermore hires enterprise risk head

Aldermore has announced the appointment of Petrina Oliver as the bank’s head of enterprise risk.

She has over 20 years of banking experience, including 13 years in financial services risk management. She joins Aldermore from Royal Bank of Scotland where she has worked since 2010, most recently as head of prudential regulation and frameworks, risk analytics and models.

Prior to this, Oliver held a variety of risk and front line roles at Clydesdale Bank and National Australia Bank both in the UK and Australia.

She will report to Christine Palmer, group risk director, and will join the Bank’s group risk senior leadership team. She will be based in Aldermore’s London office.

Oliver said: “Aldermore is a fast-growing business that has made real inroads into the UK banking sector. I’m looking forward to continuing to build out the Bank’s enterprise risk framework to provide the support that SMEs, landlords, homeowners and savers need to succeed and achieve their ambitions.”

“I am delighted that Petrina is joining Aldermore,” added Palmer. “She is highly respected within the industry and the experience that she brings will help us to continue to manage the bank’s risk appetite in a prudent and transparent way, while giving us the flexibility to react quickly to the financial needs of our growing customer base.”
