National Homebuyers has had a complaint made against in dismissed by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
A TV ad for a property company showed a cartoon man wearing a green and white superhero outfit while standing outside a cartoon house. Superimposed text at the bottom of the screen stated “National Homebuyers 0800 XXXXXXX National Homebuyers survey every property externally as part of the underwriting process”” . The cartoon man said “”Need to sell your property? Need to see it fast? Then challenge Homebuyerman. I guarantee to say yes to buying your home””. The ad then showed a couple who had used the service and Homebuyerman said he was guaranteed to buy homes regardless of their condition or location. The ad ended with the freephone contact number.
