Bibby strengthens southern team

Independent invoice finance provider Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has hired Sarah Hatswell, Paul Marjoram and Simon Culpeper as business development managers and James Wrigley as business development executive.

All will support businesses in the southern region. The team will be based across Dorset, Hampshire, Kent, Sussex and London boroughs.

Nick Carter, head of sales for Bibby Financial Services in the south, said: “We had a fantastic 2014, structuring over 200 funding agreements for SMEs in the southern region, and we want to continue to grow our presence this year. All four of our new recruits bring knowledge and experience to the team including a number of existing business relationships and excellent understanding of the SME funding landscape.

“With a strengthened team, we hope to reach more businesses in the southern region in 2015. We’re looking forward to developing our professional business network further, as well as enhancing relationships we have in place with local intermediaries.”

Hatswell has offered cashflow advice to small business owners for over 25 years and will be responsible for the funding requirements of businesses in Croydon and South London.

She said: “I’m really excited to join a team with big ambitions for the region and real entrepreneurial spirit.

“My background of running my own business gives me insight, first-hand knowledge and experience so I’m in a great position to help SMEs.”

Marjoram and Culpeper both join as Business Development Managers from HSBC and Barclays respectively, with more than 20 years of invoice finance experience between them.

Responsible for developing funding for SMEs in mid-Sussex, Marjoram joins BFS with experience in structuring funding for management buy-ins and buy-outs.

Culpeper, who will develop business in Kent, said: “BFS is an extremely ambitious company with a great approach to funding so I’m really pleased with the new role.”

Wrigley joins as business development executive from debt recovery business, Winterhill Lago where he was a senior account executive.
