Borro has appointed Chris Willis as senior vice president.

Willis comes from Seatwave, the online ticket provider, where he was vice president of business development from launch for six years.

He also has experience working within the media industry, spending two years as head of trading at the Mail on Sunday, prior to which he was advertising manager at the Guardian for nine years.

“Borro is at a pivotal point as a company,” said Paul Aitken, CEO and founder of borro. “We are excited to be developing our business as well as positioning borro as the number one online lending facility for luxury personal assets.

“This is an exciting time for the company and Chris’s appointment comes quickly after we announced Nigel Morris, co-founder of Capital One, as chairman. Chris has a wealth of experience in the business development field and will really help us through this next phase.”

Willis added: “It’s great to be joining borro at a key stage in the company’s growth. I am looking forward to working with the talented team here to deliver great service and rewards to our partners, introducers and clients.”
