Brexit: Global stock markets in the red

Stock markets around the world have been badly hit by the news that the UK has voted in a referendum to leave the EU.

The FTSE 250 was down 11.4% in the first hour of trading, the worst fall in history.

£200 billion has been wiped off the value of UK stock market assets.

The French CAC fell 8.5% in early trading, while Germany’s DAX was down 8%.
