BSA mortgage chief to provide keynote speech at MBE North

Paul Broadhead, head of mortgages and housing at the Building Societies Association (BSA), has been announced as the keynote speaker for Mortgage Business Expo (MBE) North in March.

Broadhead (pictured) will open the event, which takes place on 19 March in Manchester, providing insights into the economic outlook for the housing and mortgage sector.

He began his financial services career in 1995 with Halifax, where he held a range of roles across the business and went on to become a senior project manager, where he delivered transformation programmes across the organisation.

He was then seconded to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister as business change manager before joining the BSA and setting up its mortgage team in 2008. He regularly works with government, politicians and regulators. He is also a frequent media commentator and conference speaker on matters relating to mortgages and housing in the UK.

Taking place at Manchester Central on 19 March, MBE North will again host the FIBA Annual Conference, as well as a full seminar programme, which will be chaired by Rob Barnard, director of intermediary relationships at Pepper Money.

Mike Mikunda, director at MBE, said: “The Mortgage Business Expo provides an excellent opportunity for brokers to speak directly to providers, earn CPD points and hear the latest insights from some of the most authoritative voices in the industry. We’re delighted to welcome Paul Broadhead to deliver the keynote speech at our MBE North event.

“He’s an entertaining and informed speaker and this will be a valuable session for any industry professional who is able to attend.”
