The Cambridge offers mobile Android app

The Cambridge Building Society has introduced its first mobile Android app, following the July launch of its iOS version.

As with the iOS app, the Android Cambridge money app will allow customers to view up to date account information wherever they are with options to update personal details and transfer money.

Carole Charter, the Cambridge’s head of direct distribution, said: “The Cambridge money app has been positively received and we anticipate the Android app will prove just as popular. Our customers, through our bi-annual customer survey, have requested this type of access so we are delighted to have found an effective answer.

“With customers now able to do simple account administration through the app our frontline teams will have more time to help customers who need advice with their mortgages or savings. This is a great way for technology to support personal service rather than being a replacement for face to face interaction.”

The Cambridge money app users will also be able send secure messages to The Cambridge team and view documents associated with their account such as tax statements, account statements they’ve asked for or redemption information.

The app also includes general information such as a branch locator and branch information, as well as contact details and opening times. Additional functionality will be introduced as the app evolves and as feedback is taken from customers.
