The Cambridge Building Society has been named ‘Employer of the Year’ at the 2014 Cambridge News Business Excellence Awards.
The ceremony, held in the Great Hall, King’s College, got off to a great start as former BBC North America Editor and now Radio 4’s Today programme host, Justin Webb presented the awards.
With eight award categories in total, the evening recognised those businesses in Cambridge which excelled in 2013.
The Cambridge was going up against three other businesses; EACS, Aveva and Domino.
Stephen Mitcham, chief executive at The Cambridge, said: “I am thrilled that The Cambridge has been recognised in these well-regarded local business awards.
“Over the last 12 months we have invested in our induction process and training which has been supported by an increased focus on listening to feedback from our teams.”
