Cirencester Friendly makes key appointment

Cirencester Friendly has appointed Andrew Horsley as its new company secretary and head of compliance.

Horsley (pictured) will take over the roles of company secretary and compliance officer which Paul Hudson, chief executive, currently fulfils, and be responsible for all aspects of governance, compliance and complaints.

He will also take over the remits of anti-money laundering officer and data protection officer which are currently the responsibility of Peter Brown, deputy chief executive.

Until recently Horsley was the group secretary and compliance director at Engage Mutual Assurance, which merged with Family Investments in April 2015.

Hudson said: “I am delighted to welcome Andrew to the Senior Management Team at Cirencester Friendly. Andrew has a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from many years of senior management within the industry which will be an asset to the Society.

“We continue to strengthen the team and I’m sure Andrew will make a significant contribution to the longstanding business aspirations of the Society.”

Horsley added: “I am thrilled to be joining Cirencester Friendly, an organisation which is steeped in history but, at the same time, very innovative. I look forward to working alongside my new colleagues to ensure that we continue the longstanding commitments to be there for our Members when they need us most and to providing first class products and service to the adviser community.”
