Clydesdale Bank improves broker-lender contact

Clydesdale Bank has made changes it order to make it easier for brokers to discuss their large loan cases with the decision makers.

It has reduced the minimum loan size threshold to access an underwriter directly, discuss and get agreement prior to submitting a full application.

If a broker has a new-business enquiry, they can now speak directly to an underwriter directly for loans over £750k. Previously it was over £1 million.

The bank says the change allows the broker to discuss more complex customer scenarios, whether that be a non-standard form of income, an unusual self-employed setup or more complex interest only needs.
