Colin Franklin joins Hinckley & Rugby board

The Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has announced the appointment of Colin Franklin as a new non-executive director.

Franklin (pictured) has worked for a total of 42 years in building societies and was most recently the interim chief executive at Coventry Building Society, where he was a board member from 2008.

Chris White, Hinckley & Rugby chief executive, said: “Colin is a very welcome addition to the board. He has accumulated vast experience in financial services over the many years he helped lead the UK’s third largest society.

“His achievements are recognised throughout the building society sector. He has a strong track record in corporate governance and risk, plus broad knowledge of working with the regulators. We are very pleased to welcome him to the board.”

Franklin, who lives in the Rugby area, added: “I am very pleased to join a mutual with the pedigree of Hinckley & Rugby, where there is so much focus on its members. I look forward to contributing to its ongoing success.”
