Devon-based commercial finance specialists, Ros James & Co, has facilitated a £6 million refinance package for one of the UK’s oldest charities, Dame Hannah Rogers Trust (“Hannahs”).

The funding will allow Hannahs to continue with the development of its Seale Hayne site near Newton Abbot, which already contains a music venue, recording studios, outdoor pursuits, hydrotherapy, retail and bistro facilities.

The finance, arranged by Ros James & Co and provided by the specialist charities team at the Co-operative Bank, will enable Hannahs to create much needed accessible and independent living accommodation, a ‘Glamping’ site, hotel-style accommodation and further outdoor pursuits.

““We have recently celebrated 23 years of business, but rarely have we experienced such a fulfilling transaction as this – this is a real jewel in our crown,” said Rosalie James, director of Ros James & Co.

“We have worked with the Dame Hannah Rogers Trust for a number of years, growing alongside them, and so it has been especially rewarding to broker a finance package that gives them a helping hand on their journey.”

Bronwen Hewitt, chief executive of Dame Hannah Rogers Trust, added: “We are delighted to have secured finance at such excellent rates, and are grateful for the tireless work of Ros James & Co to secure this for us. They have worked with us since the beginning and are incredible supporters of the Trust.

“The ethos of the Co-operative Bank sits very well with ours and we look forward to working with them to bring our vision for people with disabilities to reality.”
