Dragonfly appoints investment manager

Dominic-Gibson

Dragonfly Property Finance has recruited Dominic Gibson as an investment manager in its commercial property team.

The hiring comes in the wake of the recent launch of Dragonfly’s £130m Commercial Real Estate Debt Fund.

Gibson (pictured) was most recently a fund manager at a private equity investment fund, where he was responsible for managing a £175m real estate portfolio comprising office, industrial, leisure and hotel assets.

Prior to that, he worked as a fund manager at Ekistics Property Investors, where he invested £100m of seed capital in a broad range of pan-European property assets.

He began his career at JLL, where he spent five years working in the National Investment Team.

Gibson said: “I’m really excited to be joining Dragonfly. To my mind, they have built an incredibly strong platform that offers a genuine alternative to traditional bank financing.”

Jonathan Samuels, CEO, Dragonfly Property Finance, added: “To be able to hire in people like Dominic reflects the development of Dragonfly into an established lender with substantial commercial property expertise. We have bold plans for the sector and Dominic will play a key role in bringing them to fruition.”
