FSA bans jailed broker

Financial Services Authority

A mortgage broker has been banned by the FSA following a jail sentence.

Brian Lambert has been banned from performing any function in relation to any regulated activity carried on by any authorised person, exempt person or exempt professional firm.

On 5 September 2011, Lambert was convicted of one count of conspiracy to defraud, for which he was sentenced on 13 January 2012 to 27 months imprisonment.

The regulator has concluded that Lambert is not a fit and proper person to perform any functions as his conduct demonstrates a lack of honesty and integrity.
