Lloyds Banking Group Plc is to sell its Halifax estate agency business for £1 to LSL Property Services, which owns Your Move, Reeds Rains and Intercounty.
It is believed 360 jobs will go due to the sale of the 218 branches.
The total number of redundancies announced since Lloyds’ ill-fated takeover of HBOS is already over 8,000.
