Hinckley & Rugby adds sextet to BDM team

Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has expanded its business development team, adding six new staff members in the past five months.

Since May of this year, the business began expanding its BDM department, which deals with enquiries from mortgage brokers, in response to an increased amount of business enquiries. It is hoped the new additions to the team will help the business to grow, with more mortgage applications processed, an increased presence at industry exhibitions and an improved processing service.

Julie Bourne, Intermediary sales manager, said: “We are pleased to strengthen our team with our commitment to our mortgage intermediary partners. As we look to grow our mortgage book, it means we can speak to more brokers, attend more events and shout from the roof tops about our mortgage proposition. It also means that we can help with those specialist cases that just fall outside of high street lending. The team have worked through their training plan and are ready to help.”

Telephone business development manager, Hiral Bharadiya and business development team leader, Jennifer Hingley, joined the team in May.

The department’s other new staff members include Zainab Sayed, Nisha Sahonta, Molly Ellis and, most recently, Georgina England, who joined in September.

The team has also been further strengthened by the return of one of its long-serving staff members, Sophie Hancock, who recently returned to work following maternity leave.

Another BDM colleague, Georgia Betteridge, will also be returning from her maternity leave in the New Year.
