Three new area directors have joined Just Mortgages’ self-employed division.

Jonathan Phillips joined last week, while Preeti Ferrier and Lisa Whiteley joined in the summer.

In their new roles, they will provide support and backing to Just Mortgages’ self-employed brokers.

Phillips will be covering the North West and North Wales, looking after up to 30 advisers.

He has 12 years’ experience in the mortgage industry and seven years’ in sales management; his previous roles include area business banking manager at HSBC, financial services manager at Reeds Rains and most recently, key account manager for the North West at Tesco Bank.

He said: “The culture of Just Mortgages – both inside and out – is fantastic. The advisers are self-employed but they get so much support and training. I am looking forward to being a part of that culture, and helping my team to grow their businesses, be effective and compliant and achieve a happy work-life balance.”

Ferrier (pictured) will be responsible for around 35 brokers in the West Midlands region. She has been a broker for 20 years and says she will use her experience to support her team and grow the business in her region.

She said: “I enjoy sharing my knowledge and expertise with the consultants on how to be a successful advisor. Having been a broker myself for so long, I am in a good position to be able to support them. I want to do everything I can to help them excel; I love seeing them succeed.”

Whiteley has more than 17 years’ experience in the financial services and mortgage industry. She started her career at Portman Building Society and worked as area sales manager at Nationwide and risk manager at St James’ Place before moving to Countrywide in 2012. She worked there for seven years, as senior regional manager and executive regional manager, supervising both Countrywide and Capital and Private Finance brokers before joining Just Mortgages in the summer.

She will be responsible for up to 35 brokers in the South East region.

She said: “The growth of the business over the last few years has been amazing, with so many successful brokers building great businesses in an environment tailored to their own individual needs. I am looking forward to being a part of the success, and taking this opportunity to help brokers build their own business and manage their own client experience.”

The Just Mortgages self-employed division was set up by Carl Parker in June 2016. He said: “As more brokers come on board, we will continue to increase the number of managers to ensure our brokers can enjoy the best of both worlds; the flexibility of owning their own business with the help and support of a dedicated and experienced sales manager.”
