Lenders’ service and practices cause rise in broker anger

Sesame has reported a rise of 64% in the number of adviser complaints about lender service and practices in the first six months of 2009 compared with the second half of 2008.
John Cupis, Sesame’s managing director of mortgages and general insurance claimed the difficulties mortgage intermediaries are facing in sourcing deals and placing business is being exacerbated as a result of poor service – with potentially “far reaching consequences”” for the whole market.
