L&G adds new category for Business Quality Awards

Legal & General has revealed details for its seventh annual Business Quality Awards (BQAs).

Launched in 2011, the awards recognise intermediaries who “have demonstrated best practice in customer service and shown a proven commitment to retaining clients in the protection business”.

The BQAs now consist of nine categories, including a new category added this year for Protection Written in Trust.

The submission opportunity is open from 1 September for the Outstanding Customer Outcome category, and entries should include facts, figures, customer feedback and a description of how your business stands out from the crowd.

The submission window closes on Friday 6 October 2017.

Entrants should relate their submissions to activities introduced or developed over the last 12 months. As in previous years, the remaining categories will be judged on the quality of the entry plus a series of performance metrics by Legal & General’s distribution quality management team.

A full list of the categories for the 2017-18 BQA Awards is as follows:

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony, which will take place between 11am and 3pm on Thursday, 8 February at One Coleman Street in London, EC2R 5AA.

Craig Brown, director of intermediaries at Legal & General Insurance, said: “Over the past seven years, the Business Quality Awards have been a key part of the protection industry calendar, where we recognise the advisers who have demonstrated the very best in supporting retention business and customer service.

“Recognising the exceptional standards and achievements of our winners and entrants each year plays a crucial role in encouraging the industry to continue to offer a high level of service for consumers seeking advice on some of the most important financial decisions they will make in their lives.

“We very much look forward to receiving this year’s submissions and to announcing the winners of the 2017/18 Business Quality Awards in February.”
