Liverpool Street new destination for Metro Bank

Metro Bank is to launch a brand new store in the Liverpool Street area of the City of London later this year.

It provides instant account opening, along with on-the-spot card printing, meaning customers can walk in without an appointment and walk out with a fully-functioning account.

The store will also have over 2,000 safe deposit boxes for customers to keep their valuables, as well as free coin counting facilities for customers and non-customers alike.

The bank opened its very first flagship store in Holborn nearly seven years ago, followed by six new stores in prime central London locations including, Earls Court, Tottenham Court Road and most recently on the King’s Road.

Iain Kirkpatrick, managing director of retail banking at Metro Bank, said: “The Banking Revolution was born in central London and since we first opened our doors in Holborn, we’ve seen unprecedented demand for our services. We love London and London clearly loves us.

“Our stores are where people need them, whether that’s close to where they live or where they work. Liverpool Street has always been high on our list and we look forward to bringing local residents and businesses, as well as commuters, a bank that values customer choice and enables people to bank whenever, however and wherever they want – whether that’s in store, online, through an app or on the phone.”
