LMS appoints new chief financial officer

Conveyancing solutions provider LMS has announced the appointment of Chris Williams as chief financial officer.

Williams (pictured) joins LMS from MoneyPlus Group, where he was CFO for over four years, and brings over 15 years of overall financial services experience.

He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2003 from PWC, before setting up his own financial due diligence firm, Dow Schofield Watts Transaction Services LLP, in 2008.

He will play a key role in LMS’ commercial and strategic development as it continues its works to transform the conveyancing process, as well as leading financial reporting and analysis.

Former CFO Peter Clarkson will be taking up a position as non-executive director at LMS after nearly 20 years with the business and will continue to work with the firm to drive change and modernisation in the conveyancing industry.

Nick Chadbourne, chief executive of LMS, said: “LMS works to make the conveyancing process easy and secure for everyone involved by driving innovation and digitisation within the market.

“We’re looking forward to using Chris’ extensive experience to support our development and commercial strategy as we push forward within the industry.”

Williams added; “We know the conveyancing industry is in need of modernisation, and LMS’ determination to aid this process, along with its strong reputation really stood out to me.

“I’m pleased to join the team and look forward to leading the commercial and strategic development.”
