London house prices down for first time in eight years

The Nationwide Building Society has reported that in September, London was the weakest performing region for first time since 2005, with house prices down 0.6% year-on-year.

Meanwhile, UK annual house price growth was stable at 2.0% in September.

The average price of a home was £210,116, compared to £210,495 in the previous month.
