A debt management advert has been banned for making misleading claims about the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).
Action for Debt of Bishop Auckland in County Durham, placed a regional press ad in November 2011. It stated “DO YOU HAVE FINANCIAL PROBLEMS? Waiting list to see the CAB is up to 3 weeks! Would you like debt advice within 48 hours? Call Action for Debt in confidence [company telephone number] ‘If we can’t help
