Naismiths MD to leave following restructuring

National property consultancy Naismiths has consolidated its offering into three distinct service lines.

The teams enable Naismiths to support clients at every stage of the asset lifecycle.

The three teams are:

Building Consultancy: Directed by Gareth Belsham, this team brings together Naismiths’ construction-related talent to deal with all aspects of project management and building surveying.

Project Monitoring: Directed by Marcus Higgins, Naismiths’ project monitors are ‘eyes and ears’ for lenders, during both the due diligence and construction phases.

Asset Recovery: Directed by Ben Harwood, a chartered accountant specialising in real estate finance and business management, this team is designed to turn around distressed projects for lenders and administrators.

Belsham, head of building consultancy at Naismiths, said: “These are exciting times at Naismiths. We’re enjoying a record period of growth across the business, in both revenue and capability terms. We’ve expanded our expertise by hiring a string of professionals with blue chip experience and first-class CVs, and we are now better equipped than ever to serve our clients at all stages of the asset lifecycle.

“As a company we have set ourselves an ambitious growth target – to hit annual revenues of £9m by 2020 – and I’m proud to say we’re already firmly on track. But in order to build on our current momentum, we’ve simplified and consolidated both our offering and our business structure.

“We now offer just three clearly defined service lines, each of which has a distinct and loyal clientbase and a robust leadership structure. This diversified model will improve our agility and enable us to thrive in good times and bad, and take in our stride whatever Brexit has in store.

“We’re also responding to the increasing divergence in regional markets by introducing a federal structure – in which my fellow directors and I will each lead a regional team that is attuned to the specific needs of every area we operate in.”
