National Friendly raises over £10,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Staff at National Friendly have collectively raised over £10,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the Society’s charity of the year for 2018.

All proceeds raised are being matched by the Society itself.

This news comes as the Bristol-based mutual society celebrates its 150th year of helping members.

Employees of National Friendly have engaged in a variety of activities throughout the past year, ranging from themed bake sales, photography competitions and a host of sponsored sporting events.

Jessica Barnard, Cystic Fibrosis Trust’s community fundraiser for the West, said: “Working with National Friendly has honestly been amazing. They’ve all been so passionate and engaged, and there are so many different ways they’ve been fundraising or spreading awareness, it’s just been wonderful to see.”

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust support all aspects of cystic fibrosis, funding research into treatments and medications, as well as providing care and support for those living with the disease.
