Network holds its largest training event

The Right Mortgage & Protection Network held its largest bi-annual National Training Event to date on Thursday 6 June.

The event focused on how its members can use marketing effectively to grow their businesses and increase retention on renewal.

It took place at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull, with over 200 attendees and around 70 lender and provider partners in attendance.

Martin Wilson (pictured), CEO of the network, opened the event by demonstrating the many ways in which the network helps its members to diversify their business and the marketing tools they offer to assist with maximising their client bank.

The event closed with a speech from keynote speaker, Paralympic swimmer Giles Long MBE, who used his career to illustrate how far the extent of each individual’s team stretches, the importance of every individual as a leader, how they can use positive change to their advantage, and the intrinsic link between being inspired and being motivated.

Wilson said: “As a network we understand that our members are experts in selling in their specialist fields. What they might not be as good at is marketing their business. That’s why the network has been focusing on teaching our members simple ways they can market their businesses to gather new customers and retain current ones.

“We have done this by creating new training courses and launching our Your Business hub on our members’ website, which includes guides, tools, a marketing library and an all new social media library. The new hub has had amazing feedback. The event on Thursday helped reiterate our determination in marketing and was the best event we’ve ran.

“We saw an incredible turnout from members, providers and staff, with everyone involved getting a tremendous amount out of the day.”

Adam Stretton, managing director of the network, added: “We were delighted to have had fraud specialist, Neil Ramsey from Mortgage Support Services in attendance, talking all things fraud, financial crime and risk. Attendees were able to get involved with our interactive buildings and contents insurance forum, compliance clinic as well as a dedicated ‘ask the directors’ session covering members technology and compliance queries.”

The network’s next National Training Event being held on Thursday 28 November in Solihull.
