Network to hold virtual national training event

The Right Mortgage and Protection Network is to hold its first Virtual National Training Event, on 26 November.

The network is moving its in-person events to virtual, meaning its members could access and attend the events from anywhere in the UK.

To date, the network has held over 70 webinars since the year has begun.

The event, which has been given the theme ‘Broker Vision: Navigating Business Through Changing Times’, will explore how both their brokers, lender and provider partners are navigating business through these changing times and will provide a “brokers’ eye view” on the challenges and opportunities presented by 2020.

This year’s online event will include keynote presentations from industry figures and best practice advice from some of the network’s brokers.

It will also include panel discussions across multiple product lines, including the ability for members to submit their questions as well as a virtual exhibition hall featuring videos, guides and more.

In addition, the event will include the network’s awards ceremony celebrating its members’ achievements.

Lender panels will include the likes of Kevin Roberts (Legal and General Mortgage Club), Caroline Mirakian (Pepper), Louisa Richie (Fleet), Chris Kirby (Kensington) and Nick Parker (Aldermore).

Whilst their protection panels feature a range of providers including Bonnie Earl (Met Life), Mark Godding (Aegon), Mark Cracknell (Aviva), Peter Hamilton (Zurich) and Vincent O’Connor (Royal London).

For their general insurance panels they will be joined by Brian Coulton (Paymentshield), Lee Denton (Source) and Sarah Watts (Legal and General).

The National Training Event will also feature panels for later life lending and private medical insurance. The later life lending panels will include Craig Kerrigan (More2Life), Hattie Tales (Pure), Les Pick (Canada Life) and Michelle Peskett (Legal and General), while the private medical insurance panels will include speakers from Vitality and The Exeter.

The event will also include a catch-up option, giving advisers the opportunity to access content from the virtual event at any point after it has taken place, should they not be able to make the live event.

Martin Wilson (pictured), CEO at The Right Mortgage, said: “Following the success of our webinars, talks and webcasts, we knew there was a clear need for our National Training Event to adapt to an online format featuring content from a range of our providers and specialist divisions.

“We recognise the value these events offer to our members, as well as a chance for us to recognise their hard work and achievements in what has been an unpredicted year, and so we want to ensure we are helping our members emerge on the other side of everything 2020 has thrown at them, stronger in their knowledge of their service areas than ever before.

“We are confident that, alongside the support of our providers, headline sponsors, and exhibitors, who will be providing our members with strong, informative talks, that this year’s event will certainly be one to remember.

“I’m excited to see the hard work of all involved come to fruition on the 26th November and welcome our advisers to register and get involved by using the hashtag #rightmortgageNTE to interact on the day.”
