The Tipton and Coseley Building Society has announced the appointment of Andy Lumby as its new finance director.
Lumby (pictured) will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the mutual’s finance department, treasury matters, budgetary control and financial forecasting, as well as helping shape future strategy through his board role and is a member of the Tipton’s Assets & Liabilities Committee.
He qualified as a Chartered Accounted in 2002 while working at PwC. Prior to joining the society, Lumby gained 14 years experience at a large regional building society.
Lumby said: “I was attracted by the Society’s focus on delivering personal service to members as well as its future strategic plans. There is a great deal to achieve in the years ahead and I look forward to using my past experience to help make a positive contribution to the society’s future success.”
Richard Newton, the Tipton and Coseley’s chief executive, added: “Andy’s industry knowledge, understanding of the workings of a large regional building society and proven track record will be a significant asset to the Tipton and we’re delighted to have him on board.”
