Paymentshield has partnered with Arc Legal Assistance who will become the new provider for Paymentshield’s standalone Rent Protection product.
It will also provider the optional extras available with its Landlords Insurance, which include rent protection, legal expenses and home emergency cover.
The rent protection cover available as an optional extra with Paymentshield’s Landlords Insurance will also receive a number of enhancements as part of this insurer change which will bring the cover in line with that provided by the standalone Rent Protection product.
These enhancements will include the ability to serve eviction notices on behalf of a letting agent or landlord, cover for costs incurred in defending a letting agent or landlord against a counter claim brought by their tenants, cover on tenancy agreements that are a minimum of six months long, an online claims form and the removal of some restrictions regarding housing benefit.
