New sales hires for Pepper Money

Pepper Money has added to its sales team with the recruitment of a new regional development manager and a new telephone sales manager.

Lewis Wheeler joins Pepper Money as regional development manager for Kent and Essex. He has eight years’ experience in the mortgage industry, having worked as a case owner at The Mortgage Works and an underwriter at Nationwide. Most recently he was a senior business development manager at Saffron Building Society.

Pepper Money has also recruited Imran Butt as telephone sales manager. He was most recently a sales team leader at Foundation Home Loans and has previously held roles at Santander.

James Blower, marketing director at Pepper Money, said: “The additions of Lewis and Imran to an already successful sales team demonstrates our commitment to continue to support our brokers.

“We put great emphasis on recruiting the best people as, in the specialist market, a strong sales team that works with brokers to solve their interesting cases can be the key differentiator between lenders. I’m delighted that both Lewis and Imran are joining the business.”

Wheeler said: “Having worked in underwriting departments as well as sales teams, I’ve a rounded understanding of how mortgage brokers can convert their interesting cases into mortgage completions. I’ve been really impressed by the approach that Pepper takes, empowering its underwriters to make the right decisions.”

Butt added: “It’s an exciting time to be part of Pepper Money. The firm has made a big impact in the specialist market and its plans for the future promise to provide plenty of new opportunities for brokers and their clients.”
