New sales & marketing head at First 4 Bridging

First 4 Bridging has announced the appointment of Michelle Douglas as its new head of sales and marketing.

Douglas (pictured) is responsible for both the sales and marketing teams and reports to the bridging loan master broker and packager’s director, Donna Wells.

As part of her role Douglas is in charge of structuring the sales team, developing new job descriptions, daily/monthly/annual returns, and working with sales staff in order to provide a quality service to all introducers. She is also responsible for ensuring sales targets are hit as well as recruitment.

She is also now leading on all marketing output for First 4 Bridging, especially website and email communications to brokers and introducers. Campaigns will focus on broker/introducer education around the potential solution that bridging and development finance can offer clients. New communications from First 4 Bridging will include case study information, event news, a monthly newsletter, criteria updates and exclusives.

Prior to this new role, she was a mortgage consultant for Metro Bank working across six branches in the West. She has also held previous roles as a business development manger, residential lettings manager and director of a number of estate and lettings agencies.

Jonathan Caplan, director of First 4 Bridging, said: “At First 4 Bridging we are always looking for quality people who have the skills and experience to make a major difference to our business, and that of the brokers and introducers who use us. Michelle certainly fits this category and comes to us with a huge range of experience across a variety of mortgage and estate/lettings agency-related businesses.

“Michelle will oversee our sales and marketing teams and has already made her mark by putting a new structure in place that will benefit those working here, and those placing their clients and cases with First 4 Bridging. These are exciting times for our ambitious and growth-focused business and Michelle will be at the heart of driving our plans forward.”

Douglas said: “I am very pleased to have joined First 4 Bridging and to be part of a team that has big plans for the future. Sales and marketing is a key part of the business and we are working to develop our processes and output, and to ensure we’re not just fit for purpose but that we offer brokers and introducers a quality service across the piece which ensures their clients are completely catered for.

“As the business grows I will look to continually improve and streamline processes and enhance knowledge both with our brokers and internally. My aim is for us to provide as speedy, professional, seamless and consistent a service as possible.

“We are actively looking to support advisers, brokers and other introducers in helping their clients find the finance they need, and to ensure that by working with us we can help drive significant income and business volume growth for them.”
