Openwork hires new marketing director

Openwork has appointed Claire Oldstein as marketing director.

She will join the executive team and lead all marketing, communications and brand-related activity.

Oldstein (pictured) joins the company from MetLife, where she spent 10 years in various positions, most recently as EMEA head of brand and integrated marketing. She led the team which launched the MetLife brand into the UK.

Prior to MetLife, she held senior management positions with the Post Office, having joined the organisation as a graduate trainee. She was also a founder member of Post Office Financial Services, the joint venture between the Post Office and Bank of Ireland, where she developed and launched the suite of financial services products, and later led marketing and communication functions.

Her appointment comes just after Openwork reported record profits and a sixth consecutive year of profit growth, as well as increased adviser numbers.

Mark Duckworth, chief executive at Openwork, said: “Claire’s appointment reflects our accelerated and sustainable growth ambitions driven by the strength of our business model, our partner relationships and our brand. Claire’s experience and proven track record in financial services and marketing make her ideally placed to lead Openwork’s marketing and communications.

“Communicating the strength of Openwork’s proposition will be key as we look to build on the growth delivered in recent years, and I look forward to Claire’s support in achieving Openwork’s future strategic objectives.”

Oldstein added: “Openwork is a leading player in financial services and I am thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time for the business.”
