Paradigm publishes summer event schedule

Paradigm has outlined a calendar of events and webinars for intermediaries across the coming summer months.

All mortgage and protection events are free to attend and are taking place either online or across the country, with a number of sessions focusing on key areas affecting the industry.

In addition, Paradigm is running a paid-for essential skills workshop aimed at helping prepare firms for the introduction of the Consumer Duty rules, focusing on the Senior Managers and Certification Regime.
Protection Workshops are being held in Colchester (8th June) and London (5th July), while Paradigm will be hosting a Mortgage & Protection Workshop in Motherwell (23rd June).

Free online webinars will also take place, beginning with a Thought Leadership Session featuring AMI’s chief executive, Robert Sinclair, and head of policy review, Stacy Reeve, on Tuesday 7th June. A range of topics will be discussed including regulator fees and FCA permissions, Consumer Duty, General Insurance and protection fair value, the FCA’s AR regime and the green agenda.

A Mortgage Excellence webinar will take place on the 9th June, a Paradigm Protect Webinar on the 21st June and there are three further Thought Leadership webinars taking place in June and July.

On the 29th June, Paradigm presents a Green Mortgages session with presentations from a number of lenders and a surveyor on the opportunities available in this area; on the 6th July there is a session with JUST on the market; and on the 12th July there is a session with Tatton Investment Management which looks to dispel the myths surrounding cryptocurrency and Bitcoin.

Richard Howes, director of mortgages at Paradigm Mortgage Services, said: “We’re committed to delivering valuable CPD sessions for intermediaries, where we know the learning objectives will educate them on important topics happening in our industry. We have created a lineup of events and webinar sessions which are a combination of both physical and online that we feel will deliver on an extensive range of areas that affect the intermediary market. We are particularly excited by the forthcoming AMI session due to the valuable insight they can share with our members about important factors around the day-to-day running of their businesses.

“In addition, we have interesting speakers lined up for our sessions taking place on topics such as cryptocurrency, green mortgages and . As always, we also seek to focus on our core mortgage and protection sectors, and we would particularly like to see member firms in Scotland as we broaden our offering north of the border. Overall, there should be something for everyone, whether you want to see us face-to-face or you’re able to join online. We look forward to catching up with many members over the next couple of months.”
