Paymentshield has announced the appointment of AXA Insurance to its landlords insurance panel.
AXA currently operates in 59 countries and holds relationships with over 100 million clients worldwide, including a number of brokers.
The global insurer joins a panel which already includes Towergate, RSA and L&G. The appointment will allow brokers to provide clients with options to insure their property against damage or loss, whilst also protecting their legal liabilities as a landlord.
Amanda Fox, Paymentshield’s proposition and insurer relations director, said: “Paymentshield is committed to creating an unrivalled panel of insurers and is always seeking ways to bolster its landlords insurance proposition.
“The announcement of AXA Insurance joining this panel will further improve our reputation within the buy-to-let market and should give mortgage brokers even more confidence in the quality of the products they provide to their clients.
“AXA joins the panel at the ideal time, as more and more people look to the private rental sector to fulfil their housing needs as homeownership remains unattainable for some following the affordability crisis. We’re delighted to have them on board.”
Carolyn Scott, head of household and lifestyle from AXA Insurance, added: “The landlord market is a key one for us and the mortgage broker channel is an obvious route to market. Paymentshield has a strong and historic association with mortgage brokers and joining the panel represents a significant development in our respective strategies in this market and a further strengthening of our existing relationship.”
