Roma Finance announces underwriting promotions

Roma Finance has announced the promotion of Daniel Hill to bridging sales specialist and Lorraine Hart to senior underwriter.

The promotions are part of a restructuring of the underwriting team at Roma Finance to cope with increasing demand for its products which also sees Tina Parry promoted to underwriter and Jenny Gillies to underwriting assistant.

February was Roma’s best ever for valuation fees and fundings and which also saw it complete its largest ever bridging loan of £755,000 provided for a customer to complete the sales on a finished residential development on which the development lender refused to provide further support.

Hill (pictured) has worked at Roma Finance for over three years and has played a significant role in the company’s growth. He has worked in the specialist lending industry for over 10 years.

He said: “This is an exciting time for Roma Finance and in my new role I will take on greater underwriting and case review responsibilities to help our introducers and their customers on a wide variety of applications as the property and bridging finance markets continue to develop. I look forward to continuing to provide excellent service to existing and new introducers and helping the business reach its future growth targets.”

Hart said: “I am delighted with the promotion and being able to contribute even more to the success of Roma Finance. No matter how complex the case or how many hurdles there are, I will also look at each case individually and make pragmatic underwriting decisions to see if we can lend on viable property projects such as renovations and conversions. I look forward to continuing to build close relationships with existing and new introducers as our business levels increase.”
