Royal London appoints FD

Phil-Loney-CEO

Royal London has appointed Tim Harris as its new finance director.

Harris, who will be a member of the Royal London Board, will join the company on the 19th May from global specialty insurer, Torus, where he is currently group chief finance officer. Prior to Torus he held various senior finance roles at Aviva (including CFO AVIVA Europe and Deputy Group CFO) and PWC.

Phil Loney (pictured), Group CEO of Royal London, said: “I am delighted to appoint Tim as finance director for the Group. We have just reported record new business growth and he has the right credentials to help us continue to grow our business in the interests of our customers and members. He is also an experienced leader, who has led large teams spread across a variety of locations, and he knows how to engage and motivate his staff.”

Harris added: “I am looking forward to joining Royal London and working with Phil Loney and his leadership team at an exciting time in the Group’s development. Royal London is uniquely placed to seize the opportunity of serving its members by helping them meet their life insurance, pensions and investment needs.”

He replaces Kerr Luscombe, who had previously decided to step down from his position as group finance director due to personal circumstances.
