Royal London appoints group finance & strategy director

Mutual life and pensions firm Royal London has appointed Kerr Luscombe to the role of group finance & strategy director with effect from 1 January 2013.

Luscombe joined Royal London in October 2011 as group strategy director. In his new role he will have responsibility for Royal London’s finance and actuarial teams as well as the strategy team.

Prior to joining Royal London, Luscombe held a number of finance director roles in the UK Life Assurance Sector, most recently as the finance director for Scottish Widows and Clerical Medical. He has been a qualified actuary for over 20 years.

Phil Loney, group chief executive at Royal London, said: “This new role combines our finance, actuarial and strategy functions, all of which will be key in the continued successful development of Royal London in years to come. I am absolutely delighted to have someone of Kerr’s calibre to take up the position.”
