Sancus appoints business development manager

Sancus has appointed Clare Cuff as business development manager (BDM).

She joins the London-based company as the seventh recruit to its UK sales team in the last 12 months.

Cuff (pictured) has a range of experience in business development and relationship management, identifying new business opportunities and managing and delivering property finance.

She started her career with Barclays Bank where she progressed to the position of premier banking relationship manager over 12 years with the company. Responsibilities included building key relationships with clients and providing solutions to complex financial situations whilst building a portfolio of business, specialising in mortgages and lending.

Cuff then moved to Together as regional development director where she built her own network of professional introducers, supporting them with secured property lending, including residential and development finance.

Sancus has expanded significantly since a change in senior management in 2021 and has implemented an aggressive growth strategy across the UK and Ireland. This has involved creating two dedicated teams, one based in the north (led by Mel Fourie) and the other in the south (led by Jaxon Stevens), overseen by sales director, Richard Whitehouse.

Cuff said: “I feel it’s an exciting time to join Sancus and I look forward to being part of the growth journey we are on. Sancus has some fantastic products which I am looking forward to being able to offer to my network.”

Whitehouse added: “I am delighted that Clare has joined our team here in London, completing our team in the South. A key strategy in our growth has been appointing property finance specialists with a pro-active, ‘can-do’ attitude and a wide network of contacts, Clare will fit in well.

“We have recruited some very talented, knowledgeable individuals over the last year, Clare being the most recent addition, we are all really looking forward to working with her.”
