Scottish Provident has extended the number of critical illnesses and disabilities it covers on both Self Assurance and Pegasus to 35, following the addition of a further three conditions.
In addition, the critical illness definition for HIV has been extended to include countries outside the EU, which takes this definition beyond the ABI standard and the total number of critical illness definitions that Scottish Provident cover – classified as ‘ABI plus’ to seven.
There is also the removal of exclusions from Pegasus – for example, claims arising from criminal acts, drug abuse, flying/aviation, or hazardous sports and pastimes and a reduction in post sale literature, ask requested by IFAs.
