Kate Brown joined from Bupa in March 2015 and will lead the implementation of the ‘people agenda’ as group HR director.

Finally, the role of group transformation & change director is filled by Andrew Pennells.

Alison Platt, CEO Countrywide plc, said: “I firmly believe the Executive Team announced today has the experience and passion to create the best environment and structure for our people to deliver outstanding customer experience while ensuring we make the most of all the opportunities in the UK property sector, both residential and commercial.

“I’m pleased to welcome Sam Tyrer to the Executive team. Sam brings a wealth of retail knowledge and I strongly believe that her experience, customer focus and great energy will be instrumental in leading the transformation of our sales and lettings business.

“The appointment of Peter Curran, a career professional with over 20 years’ experience to lead our financial services offering is testament to the important relationship we have with the lending community. This will add significantly to our capability in financial services, a key focus for us given the growth of the broker market.

“With new arrivals comes a departure and with our full support and pleasure that he remains within the family, Nigel Stockton will join National Wealth manager Bellpenny on 1 September 2015. Nigel has been a director of Bellpenny since its inception and this role will see him continue to operate in the mortgage and insurance arena. Both Peter and Nigel have worked together for a number of years and their professional support for each other will ensure a smooth transition.

“We are very excited about these appointments and believe this new Executive team with its careful balance of sector experience, countrywide experience and the very best external talent puts us in the best shape possible to deliver on the ambitions of our strategy. Driven by our unwavering focus on the customer and our passion to create an environment that allows our people to provide the best possible service we can, for our customers and for each other, we will ensure everyone working at Countrywide is focused on pursuing our purpose of bringing people and property together.”
