Skipton Building Society is expanding its number of business development managers (BDMs).
The society is recruiting four new business development Managers (BDMs) to join its nine strong team which provide support across the UK mortgage broker market.
Over 90% of Skipton’s mortgage business comes through brokers and IFAs.
“Our BDMs are not there just to sell rates, their job is to understand the broker’s business and add value to it,” said Paul Darwin, Skipton’s head of intermediary sales.
Hannah Parker has joined from Santander for Intermediaries and was previously with Uinsure.
Darwin said: “We are delighted to welcome Hannah to our team. She has a wealth of experience and will be a tremendous asset to Skipton.
“These are exciting times for us and the recruitment of three further BDMS will consolidate our position in aiming to be the best mortgage support team for brokers in the country. We are recruiting now for these new positions and our brokers will feel the benefit of these appointments through the quality of support that we can offer.”
