Skipton launches new podcast series

Skipton Building Society for intermediaries is launching a four-part podcast series aimed at brokers covering a wide range of topics from diversity and inclusion to the new build market.

The podcasts, which start on Tuesday 8 March, are the next instalment in the ‘Skipton Talks’ programme, which began in 2020 when the webinars for intermediaries were originally created during the pandemic to share news and information at a time when BDMs were confined to their home office.

Skipton Talks Webinars in 2021 saw over 9,500 registrations across the year. Now with Covid restrictions removed and work life going back to normal Skipton wanted to evolve Skipton Talks with a fresh approach for 2022.

Hosted by Rachael Hunnisett and Derek Adams, Skipton’s national accounts leads, and including special guests, the podcasts will be available on a host of channels including Spotify, Apple Music and Google Podcasts from 8 March.

The podcasts will drop on a weekly basis throughout March and topics include:

Hunnisett said: “Skipton Talks has one simple objective; to provide key insight to mortgage Intermediaries in a bite-size and accessible way. Before each session we are focused on one question ‘what can brokers take away from today that they can use in their day-to-day roles?

“Since our launch, I have been overwhelmed by the support Skipton Talks has received from intermediaries.”

Adams added: “We’ve had a fantastic time recording our first series of podcasts, and we’re looking forward to seeing how these are received in the broker community, welcoming your feedback, as we continue to strive to be as relevant as possible and discuss the topics that you care about.”
