Smart Money in Scotland completes first case with UTB

Smart Money has completed its first case with United Trust Bank, following the lender’s recent launch into Scotland.

Although the master broker has been on UTB’s panel for over 12 months, the launch into Scotland in May 2016 represented a new market for the lender.

Smart Money’s Glasgow office has been able to promote the products to its introducing partners north of the border.

Craig Gallacher from Smart Money said: “As the only master broker with offices in both England and Scotland, we’re always pleased when our lenders launch up here as it gives us greater opportunities to present to our introducing partners who recognise the expertise we can offer being based in Glasgow.

“On this particular case we sourced a deal for a mortgage adviser through our bespoke sourcing system, which produced UTB as the best solution for the client’s needs & circumstances. We are absolutely delighted with the speed of service we received from UTB and look forward to working with them on future cases.”

Buster Tolfree, United Trust Bank’s commercial director for specialist mortgages, added: “I’m very pleased that UTB has joined Smart Money’s approved panel and that they will now have the opportunity to offer UTB’s mortgage products to their customers.

“Scotland is an important market for UTB as we continue to extend our reach and develop our specialist mortgages offering and we very much look forward to working with Smart Money as they share our commitment to delivering excellent products and a high quality service.”
