The Society of Mortgage Professionals has extended its schedule of specialist mortgage and protection roadshows by adding two extra dates for 2015.
Beginning in Manchester on 10 March, there will now be two rounds of five events in both Q1 and Q3 of this year.
Gary Little, head of operations & membership, said: “As we head towards the end of our first year since the introduction of MMR it is an ideal opportunity for advisers to take stock and consider the key opportunities for 2015 and beyond.”
Speakers at the events include Ray Boulger, senior technical manager at John Charcol; Robert Barnard, head of business development at Aldermore Bank and Simon Chalk from the Equity Release Council. In addition there will also be specialist presenters from Zurich and SimplyBiz
Lynda Blackwell from the FCA will also be guesting at the London event, fronting a bespoke ‘MMR – its aim and overall impact’ presentation.
The dates are as follows:
- 10 March – Manchester
- 11 March – Birmingham
- 12 March – Bristol
- 24 March – Glasgow
- 26 March – London
Each event also provides CPD (3h 20m).
Little added: “The events will cover topics such as income protection, buy-to-let and equity release and are designed to show financial advisers what’s coming down the track from a compliance and regulatory perspective, as well as highlighting the potential of prospective new markets and reminding them of the value of other areas where they may not have been active in recently.”
