Conveyancing portal SortRefer has launched a conveyancing package for Scottish remortgage business.

The new deal, which is available on all Scottish residential freehold feudal property up to a value of £1 million, is at a fixed price of £469. Normal prices for a remortgage in Scotland can top £700, the firm said.

The Sort Refer online portal now has three chosen suppliers in Scotland. Your Conveyancer is based in Dunfermline and two new suppliers Strefford Tulips and NCG have been added recently. Strefford Tulips is a specialist residential and commercial property solicitors’ practice, based in Hamilton, with three partners and 35 staff. NCG, based in Partick, near Glasgow, specialises in residential property conveyancing.

Kevin Tunnicliffe, SortRefer’s managing director, said Scotland is an area of growing importance in the property market.

He said: “We are offering Scottish advisers and their clients not only the best service but also some of the most competitive conveyancing prices in the UK. Our new remortgage package undercuts the current price point in Scotland by quite a margin. We also have a dedicated business development manager in Paul McGlynn, who is meeting brokers around Scotland to show them how easy it is to work through our award winning online portal.

“We are delighted to welcome Strefford Tulips and NCG to our panel. We have deliberately limited our panel appointments to the best conveyancers, who are happy to sign up to our standards of customer care and I know that Scottish introducers are going to benefit from the Sort Refer service for all their conveyancing needs.”
