The Mortgage Lender (TML) has appointed Steve Griffiths, its sales and product director, to its board of directors.
Griffiths (pictured) joined TML in July 2019. During his time at TML, he has led the sales and product teams as they supported the intermediary market including the drive to exceed £1.3bn in mortgage applications in 2021, maintaining TMLs buy-to-let proposition throughout lockdown, and the evolution of the residential product range to support self employed, complex income and credit Impaired customers post-pandemic.
Following TML’s acquisition by Shawbrook Bank in February 2021, the business has growth plans in place for 2022 with a focus on both the residential and buy-to-let markets. This will include the introduction of new products and offerings for brokers and their clients.
Griffiths has over 30 years’ experience, having started his career with HSBC before spending 18 years at Kensington Mortgages where he was director of sales and distribution until March 2019.
