The Deposit Protection Service (DPS) has created a series of free online webinars to help landlords better navigate the deposit dispute process.
The protector of deposits said it was offering the three webinars this month as part of its commitment to providing regular learning opportunities for landlords.
Each hour-long webinar will include a trained adjudicator and will cover:
- Tuesday 16 April: preparing for claims and disputes
- Wednesday 17 April: the adjudication process and how to best prepare adjudication evidence
- Thursday 18 April 2024: an interactive session about a ‘real-life’ dispute, with the opportunity to apply knowledge and reach conclusions
Matt Trevett, managing director at the DPS, said: “Deposit disputes can be stressful experiences for landlords and tenants.
“Our online dispute webinars are among some of our most popular landlord learning events.
“By helping landlords better hone their approach ahead of any disputes, we can hopefully help them avoid one altogether.”
